About the Role:

The Senior QA - Test Automation Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of scalable software systems that drive our business. Across our businesses, our applications run business critical processes. Quality is paramount and testing critical. We want to further invest in our test automation practices, in line with the shift-left paradigm and DevOps practices. We have three main technology stacks: .NET/Angular; Node.js/Angular and Low Code (OutSystems). Each require slightly different test automation frameworks / libraries.

You will be part of a global, business-led product team operating with a DevOps mentality in a collaborative, diverse, and fast-paced environment. The role is hands-on and requires autonomy, innovation, and collaboration, with a strong focus on clean, maintainable, and high-performance test code.

You are also responsible for contributing to the overall test strategy and architecture, mentoring other engineers, and ensuring solutions are aligned with Stolt-Nielsen's business and technical goals.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of automated test solutions for modern applications.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end, integration, and regression test suites using Playwright, Jest, xUnit, and other automation tools.
• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure testability and quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to system architecture and infrastructure design from a QA perspective.
• Guide other engineers and conduct peer reviews to maintain test code quality.
• Work closely with DevOps engineers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Drive innovation by recommending new testing technologies, frameworks, tools.
• Document test plans, test cases, infrastructure, and architecture decisions.
• Take full ownership of deliverables, resolving complex challenges with innovative and reliable test solutions.
• Perform additional duties and strategic projects as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, automation, and system design.
• Proven experience delivering scalable, reliable, and secure test automation in cloud or hybrid environments.
• Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with distributed systems, containerization technologies and microservices architectures.
• Experience in embedding testing in CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery.
• Strong analytical thinking and collaborative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Must Have Skills:

• Jest, xUnit, Playwright, Selenium, Cypress
• C# .NET or Node.js, Angular, TypeScript

Good to have:

• Azure (PaaS components)
• GIT and good understanding of CI/CD
• Test framework management tools (we use Azure DevOps)
