Senior QA Engineer (Automation, B2B SaaS)

Roles & Responsibilities

Own end-to-end test automation across web and API layers, and integrate it into CI/CD so every release is validated automatically.

Design and build our QA process from the ground up test strategy, standards, and a scalable automation framework rather than inheriting a mature one.

Set up quality gates and metrics coverage, defect leakage, regression cycle time and use them to drive continuous improvement.

Partner with developers, product, and engineering leads to shift testing left — bake testability and acceptance criteria into stories before code is written.

Mentor and grow a small QA team — code reviews, pairing, coaching — and establish shared standards as we hire.

Champion quality: Be the QA voice in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, release sign-offs, and root cause reviews for production issues.

Requirements

Ideal Candidate

• Strong Senior QA/SDET Profile with hands-on automation building and QA-function ownership
• Mandatory (Experience 1): Must have 6+ years in QA/test automation/SDET roles with clear progression in scope (Engineer to Senior to Lead) with the recent 3+ years in a B2B SaaS product company
• Mandatory (Experience 2): Must have direct experience scaling a QA function at a SaaS company and building automation frameworks or QA processes from scratch
• Mandatory (Tech skill 1): Must have hands-on UI automation experience with Selenium (Java + TestNG) or Playwright / Cypress (JavaScript / TypeScript) using maintainable design patterns like Page Object Model
• Mandatory (Tech skill 2): Must have API testing & automation experience with Postman and RestAssured (or equivalent) for functional, integration, and contract testing
• Mandatory (Tech skill 3): Must have experience with CI/CD integration (Jenkins or GitHub Actions) and Git for version control
• Mandatory (Skill 1): Must have a strong grasp of Agile / Scrum delivery and JIRA for defect and test management
• Mandatory (Skill 2): Must have experience leading or mentoring QA engineers and collaborating cross-functionally with developers and product teams
• Mandatory (Skill 3): Must have solid experience using AI in test automation and manual testing exposure
• Mandatory (Communication): Must have strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Mandatory (Company): Must come from a B2B SaaS
• Preferred (Experience 1): Experience with performance / load testing (JMeter, k6, or BlazeMeter)
• Preferred (Tech skill 1): SQL / database testing and solid data-validation skills
• Preferred (Domain): Exposure to cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and testing microservices-based architectures
• Preferred (Tech skill 2): Experience introducing test-health dashboards or reporting (Allure, Extent Reports, Grafana) and familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools

Experience: 6–8 years · Hybrid, 3 days in office · 5 days a week · Notice period up to 30 days
