Shipskart is building a next-generation enterprise marine procurement ERP/SaaS platform that connects ship management companies, suppliers, vendors, and maritime stakeholders. Our platform is built using .NET Core, microservices, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Flutter Web, and Flutter mobile applications.

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer / Senior SDET to help scale our quality engineering practices and ensure the reliability, performance, and usability of our enterprise platform.

 

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both manual and automated testing, with a proven track record of designing or implementing test automation frameworks. You will be responsible for testing complex business workflows across APIs, backend services, databases, web applications, and mobile platforms.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong ownership of test quality, regression automation, defect prevention, and release readiness.

 

Key Responsibilities

●             Design and implement a comprehensive testing strategy for our ERP/SaaS platform.

●             Perform functional, integration, system, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.

●             Develop and maintain scalable, reusable, and reliable automated test frameworks.

●             Automate UI, API, integration, and critical business workflow tests.

●             Test REST APIs, microservices, database operations, and service integrations.

●             Validate data integrity and business logic using SQL, preferably PostgreSQL.

●             Perform cross-browser, responsive UI, and multi-device testing across web and mobile applications.

●             Test Flutter Web applications and Flutter mobile applications across supported platforms.

●             Plan and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability testing.

●             Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and establish quality gates.

●             Identify, document, track, and verify defects; support root-cause analysis with developers.

●             Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to improve product quality.

●             Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA standards, processes, and best practices.

 

Required Skills & Experience

●             5–8+ years of experience in software QA, with significant hands-on automation experience.

●             Strong knowledge of manual testing and software testing methodologies.

●             Proven experience building, designing, or significantly improving test automation frameworks.

●             Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, API, UI, and end-to-end testing.

●             Experience with one or more automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent.

●             Strong programming/scripting skills in C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

●             Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices, authentication, and authorization.

●             Strong SQL and database testing skills; PostgreSQL experience is preferred.

●             Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, Gatling, or Locust.

●             Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

●             Good understanding of defect management, test reporting, and Agile/Scrum practices.

 

Preferred Experience

●             Experience testing ERP, enterprise SaaS, procurement, finance, inventory, or other complex business applications.

●             Experience with .NET Core / C# backend testing.

●             Experience testing Flutter Web and Flutter mobile applications.

●             Experience with microservices, asynchronous workflows, and distributed systems.

●             Experience with multi-tenant SaaS applications.

●             Experience with unit testing concepts and frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.

●             ISTQB certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
