The Role
We're looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer who lives and breathes Playwright. You'll work directly with our customers engineering teams as part of our Forward-Deployed Engineer pods, owning end-to-end test automation for fast-moving SaaS products. This is a high-impact role where your work directly shapes how modern teams approach quality.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain robust end-to-end test suites using Playwright
- Work embedded with customer engineering teams to understand their product and testing needs
- Debug flaky tests, optimize test execution speed, and ensure reliable CI/CD integration
- Collaborate with our AI platform team to improve Bug0's test generation and maintenance capabilities
- Own test strategy and coverage for assigned customer accounts
- Contribute to internal tooling and best practices that raise the bar for the entire team
What You Must Have
- 3+ years of hands-on, daily experience writing and maintaining Playwright test suites
- Deep knowledge of Playwright's API locators, auto-waiting, fixtures, test hooks, parallelization, and trace viewer
- Experience with Playwright across multiple browsers and devices
- Strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills
- Solid understanding of modern web technologies (React, Next.js, SPAs)
- Experience integrating Playwright into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
- Sharp debugging instincts you can trace a flaky test back to a race condition, DOM timing issue, or network dependency
- Excellent communication skills you'll be working directly with customer teams
- Ability to join immediately
Nice to Have
- Experience with Playwright's API testing capabilities
- Familiarity with visual regression testing using Playwright screenshots
- Exposure to AI/ML-assisted testing workflows
- Prior experience in a client-facing or consulting role
