JOB TITLE: Senior QA Analyst
The
Senior QA Analyst Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) is responsible for executing quality assurance activities across Finance & Operations implementations, enhancements, integrations, and regression cycles. This role focuses on
hands-on functional testing and test case creation, validation of business processes, and defect identification to ensure D365 F&O solutions are stable, accurate, and aligned with business requirements.
The Senior QA Analyst works closely with business SMEs, functional consultants, and engineering teams, contributing to test execution, automation support, and release validation. This role is suited for a detail-oriented QA professional with strong functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and experience testing enterprise ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Execution
- Execute QA activities for Dynamics 365 F&O projects, including feature enhancements, integrations, and release cycles.
- Follow established QA standards, testing methodologies, and project test approaches.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of test artifacts and QA documentation.
Test Case Creation & Test Execution
- Analyze business and functional requirements to create detailed functional test cases for Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Execute test cases for end-to-end business processes across Dynamics 365 F&O modules, including Finance, Supply Chain, Production, Projects, HR, and other F&O areas.
- Validate configurations, customizations, and business logic within D365 F&O.
- Validate integrations with external systems (e.g., WMS, tax engines, banking, procurement platforms).
- Perform functional, regression, integration, UAT support, smoke, and sanity testing as required.
Automation & Tools
- Execute and maintain automated tests using tools such as RSAT, Elevaite, or similar automation solutions.
- Create, maintain, and execute D365 F&O Task Recorder assets for automation and process documentation.
- Review automation test results and report failures or defects.
Defect Management
- Identify, document, and track defects using Azure DevOps or an equivalent ALM tool.
- Retest defect fixes and confirm resolution.
- Maintain traceability from requirements test cases defects closure.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with functional consultants, business SMEs, developers, and release managers to clarify requirements and validate expected system behavior.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training validation, and post-deployment testing activities.
- Participate in cutover and release validation activities as needed.
Experience
Required Qualifications
- 35 years of quality assurance experience in enterprise environments.
- 23+ years of hands-on experience testing Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (or AX 2012 with F&O migration experience).
Functional Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of key D365 F&O modules, such as:
- General Ledger, AP/AR, Cash & Bank
- Procurement & Sourcing
- Sales & Marketing
- Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Production Control (preferred)
- Project Operations (preferred)
