Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Jira Developer with strong expertise in Python, Groovy, and Jira administration. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Jira configuration, automation, scripting, REST API integrations, and platform support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain Jira projects, including workflows, permission schemes, issue types, screens, and automation rules.
• Develop and maintain custom scripts and automation solutions using Python and Groovy.
• Implement and support integrations through REST APIs between Jira and internal or external systems.
• Ensure platform stability, security, and compliance in line with internal policies and enterprise standards.
• Analyze requirements from IT and business stakeholders and translate them into robust Jira solutions.
• Support incident analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause resolution related to Jira configurations and automations.
• Maintain and version-control code and configuration artifacts using Git.
• Support data-related use cases, including reporting and automation based on SQL and relational databases.
• Contribute to technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling, automation, and platform governance.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• 7+ years of relevant experience in Python development and Jira.
• Strong experience in Python and Groovy development.
• Proven experience in Jira administration, including workflows, permissions, scripting, and automation.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Good knowledge of HTTP protocols and RESTful APIs.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
• Experience with Git-based version control, including branches, pull requests, and merges.
• Familiarity with Linux environments, including Bash and SSH.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
