Role Description

AICines is looking for a Senior Python Full Stack Developer with 6+ years of experience to join our team on-site in Hyderabad. This is a senior hands-on engineering role for someone who has personally built and scaled backend systems serving 100K+ monthly active users and 10K+ concurrent connections — and can own that same responsibility at AICines.

You will lead backend architecture, own AI video generation pipelines, drive AWS infrastructure decisions, and contribute to frontend surfaces when needed. You will work closely with the founding team, product, and AI teams to ship reliable, secure, and scalable software in a fast-moving startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput backend APIs using Python and FastAPI serving 100K+ MAU and 10K+ concurrent users
• Own AI video generation pipelines, async job queues, and media streaming infrastructure end to end
• Architect and manage AWS infrastructure including ECS, S3, CloudFront (CDN), SQS, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache (Redis), and CloudWatch
• Integrate and manage AI/media workflows across providers such as OpenAI, FAL, Runway, and other generative AI platforms
• Build secure and reliable services for authentication, payments, content workflows, and creator tools
• Implement observability, logging, alerting, and incident response for production systems
• Drive system design and architecture decisions directly with the founding team
• Debug production issues, write clean and testable code, participate in code reviews, and own architectural decisions
• Contribute to frontend surfaces (React + TypeScript) when needed — not the primary focus

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend development with Python in production environments
• Personally built and owned systems at 100K+ MAU and 10K+ concurrent scale — must be able to walk through specifics in the interview
• Deep hands-on AWS: ECS/EKS, S3, CloudFront (CDN), SQS, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache (Redis), CloudWatch, IAM, VPC
• Strong proficiency in FastAPI, async Python, and task queues (Celery / ARQ / RQ)
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL optimization and database design at scale
• Hands-on with Docker and CI/CD-based deployment workflows
• Experience integrating AI/ML APIs or generative AI workflows into production systems
• Strong understanding of scalable system design, debugging, performance optimization, and secure coding practices
• Comfortable working in a high-ownership startup environment with speed and cross-functional collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in video, media, streaming, or creator tools platforms
• React + TypeScript for occasional frontend contributions
• WebSockets or SSE for real-time features
• Exposure to payment systems, subscriptions, and monetization workflows
• Experience with observability, logging, and production monitoring tools
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
