We're looking for a
cracked Senior Software Engineer who lives and breathes Python and enjoys building reliable integrations, automations, and internal tools for a fast-growing US startup. You'll own end-to-end problems that move the business forward from design and implementation to monitoring and improvement.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain production services, scripts, and automations using Python.
- Own complex workflows end-to-end: understand the business need design a data model/process implement monitor and iterate.
- Build internal tools and dashboards that help ops, product, sales, and leadership make better, faster decisions.
- Integrate systems via REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party services.
- Write clean, well-tested, well-documented code that other engineers can extend.
- Debug gnarly data/automation issues across scripts, integration points, and external APIs.
- Work closely with founders, PMs, and ops to prioritize and ship quickly.
Must-have skills
- Strong Python: production services, scripts, and automation experience (not just notebooks).
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and integrations.
- Good sense of data modeling and designing schemas/processes that scale and remain maintainable.
- Experience in product/fast-paced startup environments and shipping iteratively.
- Comfortable working remotely, async-friendly, and communicates clearly.
- Ownership mindset: you identify problems and drive them to completion.
Nice to have
- Airtable experience (bases, automations, scripting, API) helpful but not required.
- Experience with other no-code/low-code tools (Zapier, Make, Retool, n8n).
- TypeScript/JavaScript for small frontends or internal tools.
- Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL or basic analytics/data-warehouse concepts.
- Experience setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting for scripts/automations.
- Background in B2B SaaS or internal tooling/ops automation.
Experience level
- Preferred: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Open to: Exceptionally strong engineers with 3+ years who demonstrate impact, ownership, and depth with Python and integrations.
Work setup
- Location: Remote (candidates who can maintain good overlap with US time zones preferred).
- Type: Full-time.
