Senior Python Developer

About Position:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Python Developer with 8+ years of expertise in building scalable backend systems and APIs. The role focuses on designing high-performance, secure, and reliable applications using modern Python frameworks such as Django and Flask. The ideal candidate will take ownership of end-to-end development, contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior engineers, and ensure best practices across the software development lifecycle in a collaborative Agile environment.

What You'll Do:

• Design and develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python frameworks (Django/Flask/Fast API).
• Build and maintain microservices, integrations, and data pipelines as needed.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with strong unit/integration test coverage.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and security; handle production issues and post-mortems.
• Collaborate with product owners, UI engineers, DevOps, and QA in Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.
• Perform code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
• Create technical documentation and support release planning.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 8+ years of professional Python development experience with strong problem-solving ability.
• Hands-on experience with Django & Flask (FastAPI is a plus) and building REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and scalable architecture principles.
• Database expertise: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and exposure to NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis).
• Experience with async processing (Celery/RQ), messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ) is a plus.
• Practical exposure to Docker and Kubernetes concepts; familiarity with cloud platforms is preferred.
• Good knowledge of security practices (OWASP), logging/monitoring, and observability.
• Bachelors/masters degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent practical experience.
