Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer (Python) with strong fundamentals and system-level thinking. The role suits engineers who focus on clean architecture, scalable backend systems, and long-term code quality rather than single-stack specialization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python
• Build scalable, secure, and maintainable REST APIs
• Work across existing and multi-language codebases as required
• Contribute to technical design, architecture, and system discussions
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues
• Ensure high standards of performance, reliability, and code quality

Mandatory Skills & Requirements

• Strong backend development experience in Python
• Solid understanding of core programming concepts and system design
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs
• Working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL)
• Ability to read, refactor, and improve existing production codebases
• Comfortable adapting to new technologies and problem domains

Preferred / Good to Have Skills

• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Exposure to PHP frameworks (Laravel / Symfony)
• Experience with other backend languages (Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Mentoring experience or ownership of backend modules
