We are intending to hire Senior Python Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python development, edge analytics, and enterprise system integration
(Exposure to SAP integration is good to have)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to design, develop, and support Python-based edge analytics applications and integrate industrial data with SAP S/4HANA systems. The role involves working closely with OPC UAbased data sources, building reliable backend services, and ensuring secure and accurate data exchange with SAP systems.
This is a hands-on role focused on development, integration, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based edge analytics applications
- Implement and support REST API integrations with SAP S/4HANA
- Design and manage JSON-based data models aligned with SAP interfaces
- Implement authentication and security using OAuth / token-based mechanisms
- Ensure secure data exchange over HTTPS / TLS
- Develop background services, schedulers, and Windows Services
- Implement logging, error handling, retries, and monitoring
- Support unit testing, integration testing, and production deployments
- Collaborate with OPC / Automation Engineers for tag mapping and data validation
Technical Skills & Experience
Core Technologies
- Python 3.x (strong hands-on experience)
- OPC UA client libraries
- REST API development and consumption
- SAP S/4HANA REST API integration
- JSON data modeling and transformation
Data & Processing
- Data processing using pandas, numpy, or equivalent libraries
- Experience with handling near-real-time or batch data pipelines
Security & Integration
- OAuth / token-based authentication
- HTTPS / TLS security standards
Platform & Deployment
- Windows-based environments
- Windows Service development and deployment
- Scheduling frameworks and background job execution
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in manufacturing, process industries, or industrial IoT
