What You'll Do
- Own and maintain backend systems using Python, Django, and FastAPI.
- Build and manage APIs using Django REST Framework and FastAPI.
- Work with frontend and product teams on integration and delivery.
- Design and optimize databases, queries, and schemas in PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Build data pipelines, ETL workflows, and batch/streaming processes.
- Manage containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, AWS infrastructure, and system reliability.
- Participate in architectural decisions as the platform scales.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- 5+ years of backend development experience in Python and Django.
- Strong experience with Django REST Framework. FastAPI experience preferred.
- Deep SQL knowledge query optimization, indexing, schema design, performance tuning.
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL, and tools like Airflow or Celery.
- Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
- Working knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Redshift).
- Familiarity with Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar tools is a plus.
- Comfortable with Git workflows, CI/CD, and infrastructure practices.
- Strong fundamentals in software engineering and system design.
- Clear communicator across technical and non-technical teams.
- Self-directed with high attention to detail and quality.
