Senior Purview Engineer

Position: Senior Microsoft Purview Security Engineer

Experience: 4+ years

We are looking for a Microsoft Purview Engineer to manage escalations, troubleshoot and tune Microsoft Purview controls, support compliance investigations, mentor L1 analysts and assist with DPDP Act control mapping for data governance, compliance, access control and DLP use cases.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with:

• Microsoft Purview DLP,
• Engineer/Developer experience rather than a Purview Analyst profile.
• Hands-on end to Purview Implementation.
• Strong experience in developing, customizing, and integrating Purview solutions.
• SC-400 or SC-401 certification, or willingness/plans to pursue either certification.
• Information Protection
• Sensitivity labels, audit, eDiscovery, retention, Endpoint DLP and Microsoft 365 compliance operations.
• The role requires the ability to translate privacy and compliance requirements into enforceable technical controls and operational runbooks.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal.
• Strong working knowledge ofMicrosoft Purview DLP, Information Protection, sensitivity labels, auto-labeling, Endpoint DLP, audit, eDiscovery and retention.
• Experience in end to end purview implementation.
• Strong experience in developing, customizing, and integrating Purview solutions with Microsoft 365.
• SC-400 or SC-401 certification, or who are planning to pursue either certification.
• Ability to map DPDP Act obligations to Purview controls and operational workflows.
• Good understanding of Microsoft 365 workloads: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams.
• Understanding of personal data processing lifecycle: collection, storage, access, sharing, processing, retention, deletion and breach handling.
• Experience with incident management, RCA, policy tuning and stakeholder coordination.
• Good understanding of access control, RBAC, role scoping and segregation of duties for compliance operations.
