Nextstep HR is hiring for Senior Purchase Manager for a fast-growing integrated branding and retail visibility firm specializing in large-format printing and multi-material fabrication for signage and experiential marketing, who can lead end-to-end procurement operations, balancing the technical requirements of a manufacturing unit with the creative and logistical needs of marketing and branding. This role is pivotal in ensuring cost-efficiency, quality compliance, and the seamless availability of materials ranging from raw industrial components to complex event stall BOQs.

Location: Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with both operational factory needs and high-velocity marketing campaigns.
  • Marketing & Branding Procurement: Specialized sourcing of signages, flex/vinyl printing, lightboxes, and ACP boards. Full lifecycle management of event stall BOQs, including fabrication, electricals, and manpower.
  • Vendor Ecosystem Management: Identify, audit, and onboard a diverse vendor base (raw materials, printing partners, and stall fabricators). Lead annual rate contract negotiations and performance evaluations.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure the accuracy of supplier databases and rate cards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with the Marketing team for artwork approvals and installation timelines, and with the Production team for raw material forecasting.
  • Cost & Inventory Control: Conduct rigorous comparative analyses of quotations to optimize spend. Monitor stock levels to minimize holding costs while preventing stock-outs.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret BOQs, technical drawings, and material specifications for both manufacturing and branding.
  • Negotiation Power: Proven track record of negotiating favorable payment terms and high-volume discounts.
  • Analytical Rigor: Strong data-driven mindset for cost estimation and budget management.
  • Leadership: Experience supervising a purchase team and managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Graduate degree; a specialized diploma or certification in Supply Chain/Materials Management is highly preferred.
  • Experience: 8–10 years of robust procurement experience, ideally in a manufacturing setup with significant exposure to branding and event-related sourcing.
