Role Description The Senior Purchase Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end procurement activities, including vendor identification, negotiation, contract management, and timely sourcing of raw materials, packaging, and other supplies essential for Ayurvedic and herbal product manufacturing. This full-time, on-site role based in Jodhpur involves planning and monitoring purchase budgets, optimizing costs without compromising quality, and ensuring alignment with production schedules and inventory requirements. The individual will collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, finance, and logistics teams to maintain uninterrupted supply, uphold compliance with GMP and regulatory standards, and support scalability as the company grows. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing market trends, evaluating supplier performance, mitigating supply chain risks, implementing procurement best practices, and generating reports and insights for leadership decision-making. The role also includes leading and mentoring the purchase team, fostering continuous improvement, and contributing to strategic sourcing initiatives that support long-term organizational goals.
Qualifications

• Strong expertise in procurement and supply chain management, including vendor development, negotiation, contract management, and cost optimization.
• Experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, and coordinating closely with production and logistics for timely material availability.
• Knowledge of GMP, quality standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to herbal, Ayurvedic, pharmaceutical, or FMCG manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability in data analysis, purchase reporting, and use of ERP or other procurement and inventory management systems.
• Proven leadership skills, including team management, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification or professional certification is an advantage.
• Prior experience in a senior purchasing or sourcing role, preferably in Ayurveda, herbal wellness, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, or FMCG sectors.
