Role Overview

The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for leading on-site construction activities, ensuring timely execution, quality control, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. The role requires strong leadership in coordinating contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution & Site Management

Manage day-to-day site operations including construction activities, execution, and monitoring of works.

Ensure all construction activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.

Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site teams to maintain productivity and quality standards.

2. Planning & Scheduling

Assist in preparation and monitoring of project schedules and work programs.

Track project milestones and ensure timely completion of activities.

Coordinate with project planning teams to resolve delays and maintain progress.

3. Budget & Cost Control

Monitor project costs and ensure work is executed within the approved budget.

Review contractor bills, material consumption, and work progress.

Coordinate with QS and procurement teams for cost optimization.

4. Quality Control

Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality benchmarks, and industry standards.

Conduct regular inspections of construction works and materials.

Implement corrective measures when quality deviations occur.

5. Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and site safety protocols.

Conduct safety audits and ensure proper use of safety equipment and procedures.

Maintain compliance with local construction regulations and statutory approvals.

6. Coordination & Communication

Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical and site issues.

Conduct regular site meetings and progress reviews with stakeholders.

Prepare site progress reports and documentation for management.

7. Risk Management

Identify potential technical or construction risks and implement preventive measures.

Proactively address site challenges to avoid project delays.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

15+ years of experience in construction site management and project execution.

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control, and safety standards.

Experience in managing large-scale residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in project management tools like Primavera P6 and MS Project
