About the Role
The Senior Project Manager Retail Projects will take full ownership of end-to-end delivery of retail store projects across the Mumbai region and surrounding territories. This role demands strong project leadership, vendor and stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver high-quality stores within defined timelines, budgets, and brand standards. You will oversee planning, execution, quality control, cost optimization, and continuous improvement of project delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of new store fit-outs, refurbishments, and expansion projects for the region.
- Oversee the full lifecyclefrom site handover and design coordination to store readiness and final opening.
- Ensure all project activities align with brand guidelines, technical standards, and compliance requirements.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Manage and supervise GC vendors, VM teams, MEP contractors (electrical, HVAC, fire), signage partners, and other external consultants.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including VM, Retail Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Design teams to ensure seamless project flow.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and evaluate performance for continuous improvement.
Monitoring, Reporting & Quality Control
- Track project progress through detailed timelines, weekly MIS reports, and on-site inspections.
- Conduct regular site audits to ensure adherence to quality, safety, regulatory guidelines, and approved drawings.
- Identify risks proactively and implement corrective actions to avoid delays or cost overruns.
Budgeting & Cost Management
- Lead cost estimation and budgeting for all regional projects.
- Review and verify BOQs, contractor quotations, and certify vendor bills.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process optimization, and efficiency improvement across projects.
Material Management & Approvals
- Ensure timely availability of materials, drawings, and all required approvals prior to execution milestones.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely vendor onboarding and material release.
Handover & Closure
- Ensure snag-free project handover with complete documentation, certifications, and compliance checks.
- Drive post-opening evaluations and lessons learned to enhance future project execution.
