Senior Manager Instrumentation & Systems (Lab, Pharma, Clean Energy)

Location: Navi Mumbai | Full-Time | On-Site

Experience: 712 years (including 2+ years in team management or technical mentoring)

Reports To: Director, Technical & Business Operations

Team: Will manage 1-2 technical engineers initially (Proposal + Project)

We're a systems integrator, EPC player, and exclusive partner for TK-Fujikin, a global leader in ultra-high purity and clean media components.

Role Objective

We are hiring a self-driven, technically strong team leader to independently manage our proposal, project, and technical delivery functions for instrumentation and fluid control systems. This is a core leadership role that combines technical depth, client-facing maturity, and ownership to guide junior engineers without relying on constant escalation.

The candidate must be confident in taking application briefs, converting them into technical + commercial proposals, and guiding internal teams for execution, documentation, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal & Technical Leadership

• Interpret RFQs, P&IDs, and application notes across lab setups, gas systems, pharma skids, and clean utilities
• Translate client needs into TK-Fujikin or equivalent components (valves, regulators, fittings, manifolds, tubing)
• Guide team on component selection for media compatibility, pressure rating, flow regimes, material suitability
• Ensure technically sound and commercially competitive proposals with minimum revisions

Project Execution

• Lead project execution from award to delivery planning, internal coordination, and vendor alignment
• Review BOMs, fabrication specs, installation layouts, and client deliverables
• Troubleshoot project bottlenecks (costing, lead time, spec deviation) and close loop quickly
• Ensure quality, safety, and documentation compliance (ASME, API, ASTM)

Team Management

• Mentor and review work of 2 engineers (proposal + execution) escalate only critical issues
• Set internal workflows for documentation, timelines, quote revisions, and client follow-ups
• Track live proposals, project health, and ensure zero information slippage

Tendering & Commercial Insight

• Lead government and institutional tender technical writeups
• Help refine costing models, pricing logic, and vendor negotiation inputs
• Identify new applications, component gaps, and areas to propose higher-value packages

Who You Are

CriteriaRequirements

Experience

712 years in instrumentation, lab systems, clean utility design, or turnkey gas system integration

Education

B.E. / Diploma in Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Process Engineering

Component Knowledge

Deep understanding of tubing, valves, fittings (Swagelok, Parker, TK-Fujikin, DK-Lok, Panam, Fitok)

Application Fluency

Hydrogen lines, pharma WFI/utility, clean gas panels, lab-scale instrument setups

Codes & Docs

Familiarity with ASME, API, ASTM standards, P&IDs, GA drawings, BOMs, compliance docs

Tools

Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (basic), ERP/sales tracker, proposal templates

Mindset

Independent, resourceful, strong communicator, and team enabler

Nice to Have

• Exposure to EPC or turnkey project lifecycle (from tender to site handover)
• Experience working with cleanroom installation contractors, utility vendors, and fabrication shops
• Technical write-ups for tenders or client qualification documents
