About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join a banking IT environment supporting critical applications and production services within Wealth Management.
The role requires strong ownership of project delivery, stakeholder management, governance, planning and execution across business and technology teams. You will work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Security, Compliance, vendors and senior management to deliver projects successfully within agreed scope, budget and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of project/program objectives, delivery commitments, scope, budget and timelines.
- Lead project planning, estimation, scheduling, resource planning and capacity management.
- Facilitate project meetings, governance forums and senior management steering committees.
- Work closely with Product Owners, BAs, technical teams and business stakeholders to define requirements and delivery priorities.
- Coordinate delivery across multiple applications, squads and transversal technology teams.
- Support requirements gathering, functional/technical analysis and solution definition.
- Work with BA and testing teams on SIT strategy, test cases, results and defect resolution.
- Support UAT with business users and stakeholders through issue investigation and resolution.
- Manage release planning and delivery, adapting plans as priorities and requirements change.
- Manage vendors, maintenance costs, budgets and commercial proposals.
- Identify project risks, blockers, dependencies and issues, and drive appropriate resolution.
- Provide regular project reporting to Division Managers and Domain Heads.
- Ensure adherence to relevant SDLC, Agile and banking IT governance frameworks.
- Manage multiple projects where required.
Must-Have Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in Project Management within Banking IT / Financial Services.
- Proven experience working with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technology teams.
- Experience with project planning, budgeting, estimation, resource management and delivery governance.
- Experience leading or participating in Steering Committees with senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle and functional/technical specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and identify root causes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across teams.
Good-to-Have Experience
Experience in Wealth Management and/or one or more of the following areas would be highly advantageous:
- Tax & Regulatory Reporting
- German Tax Reporting
- Client Tax Statement Reporting
- AEOI / CRS
- FATCA
- IRS 871(m)
- Corporate Actions / Securities
- Market data providers such as SIX or WM Daten
- Reporting applications such as SECTRAS, EasyTax or FiTax
- Core banking systems such as Olympic or TRANSACT
- Front-office / client management applications
Other Requirements
The successful candidate must be comfortable with:
- Weekend rotation, with 2 consecutive weekdays off in lieu.
- Public holiday work, with a compensatory day off.
- Early shifts, either 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
