Project/ Senior Project Engineer – Stormwater & Drainage (Design Expert)

Experience: 15+ years, including 8+ years in core Stormwater & Drainage Design

Position Overview

Lead the technical delivery of stormwater drainage, flood management, and sustainable drainage projects across urban and regional developments. Provide technical direction, project leadership, client engagement, mentoring, and quality oversight while ensuring compliance with international standards and local authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning, hydraulic/hydrologic modelling, design, and delivery of stormwater and drainage systems.
• Review concept, detailed, and tender-stage designs, calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
• Validate models using SewerGEMS, StormCAD, InfoWorks ICM, Civil 3D, and related tools.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, authorities, and stakeholders.
• Drive design optimization, value engineering, flood resilience, and sustainable drainage solutions.
• Manage technical quality, deliverables, resources, and project timelines across multiple assignments.
• Mentor engineers and modellers and promote technical excellence and innovation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant BS, EN, AASHTO, WMO, and local authority standards.
• Support technical audits, approvals, client workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• M.E./M.Tech. in Environmental, Water Resources, or Hydraulics Engineering preferred.
• International/Gulf project experience and authority approval exposure preferred.

Software Skills

Strong practical experience in SewerGEMS/StormCAD, InfoWorks ICM, Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and MS Office.

Preferred Profile

Proven experience leading large-scale urban stormwater, drainage, flood management, and drainage master planning projects, with strong technical leadership, client-facing, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
