Senior Engineering ManagerYour role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. Your responsibilities will include demonstrating a solid grasp of priorities and attentiveness within your designated duties.

This role is contributing to the Automation - Energy division in-Bangalore India region.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Executed application development, design, installation, and commissioning of DCS Automation Systems in the Thermal Power/Power industry, ensuring reliable performance across large‑scale projects (100+ MW and above).
Delivered both on‑site and remote support, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and commissioning activities of medium to high complexity.
Led project teams during major commissioning assignments, ensuring smooth execution, adherence to safety standards, and effective customer communication.
Identified technical issues during customer interactions, performed root cause analysis, and recommended corrective and preventive actions to enhance system reliability.
Ensured project readiness by preparing material lists, coordinating availability of parts, tools, and equipment, and supporting continuous improvement through documentation of best practices.
Qualifications for the role:
Experience of 6 to 9 years in DCS systems within the Thermal Power/Power industry.
Solid foundation in process control and instrumentation, with proven experience in handling large projects (100+ MW).
Skilled in application engineering, HMI design, testing, and commissioning, with exposure to system retrofits and migrations.
Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and manage commissioning activities across Pan India (50% travel).
B.E/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, or Instrumentation, with effective verbal and written communication skills.
