About Role
At NxtWave, as a Senior Program Manager DSA & Competitive Programming, you will play a critical role in shaping students into top-tier problem solvers ready for world-class software careers. You will be responsible for driving outcomes in data structures, algorithms, and competitive programming across NIAT campuses. This includes ensuring strong student performance, building a thriving competitive programming culture, running coding contests, improving platform ratings, and managing performance of DSA instructors.
This role demands strong program management, deep understanding of DSA/CP ecosystems, and the ability to motivate, monitor, and guide students toward excellence in coding competitions and placements.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Learning & Outcomes:
- Ensure students become placement-ready by strengthening their problem-solving and DSA foundations.
- Oversee the delivery of DSA semester courses, ensuring high teaching quality and strong learning outcomes.
- Continuously monitor student attendance, learning progress, and coding contest performance; take interventions where needed.
Competitive Programming Culture & Performance:
- Drive student participation and rating improvement on platforms such as LeetCode, Codeforces, and CodeChef.
- Organize weekly coding contests across all NIAT campuses and design reward mechanisms to encourage excellence.
- Build and nurture a strong CP ecosystem by inviting industry experts for podcasts, sessions, and masterclasses.
- Identify top-performing students in each campus and run dedicated CP training programs for them.
- Ensure effective student preparation for global coding competitions such as ACM-ICPC, Meta Hacker Cup etc.
People & Process Management
- Oversee the hiring, onboarding, and training of DSA Instructors and ensure consistent quality standards.
- Track student feedback and implement continuous program improvements.
- Collaborate with internal academic, content, and operations teams to achieve outcome-focused execution.
Qualification & Skills:
Required
- 26 years of experience in program management, tech education, competitive programming training, or similar roles.
- Strong analytical ability to track performance metrics and drive data-informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and people management skills.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and drive high accountability.
Preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build learning communities or student engagement programs.
- Hands-on experience with coding platforms (LeetCode, Codeforces, CodeChef, AtCoder).
- Experience mentoring students for coding interviews or competitive programming contests.
- Experience conducting or managing coding contests at scale.
- Good ratings or proven contest experience is a plus.
