Job Summary

Based in our Pune, India location, you willbe a member of a collaborative product development group. You will have the opportunity to lead and coordinate activities with global technical teams developing embedded process automation products for Emerson's Cross Portfolio Technology and Innovation (CPTI) group headquartered in Shakopee, Minnesota, USA. The CPTI group includes provides technology services in the areas of Instrument Connectivity, Product Security and IIoT platforms for Emerson's portfolio of industrial process measurement products.

You will not only help the business in value engineering but also our employees for their career growth. You'll be employed for EICP.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Team and People Development

  • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for employees within the organization.

  • Implement strategies for talent development aligned with shared vision and strategic priorities of the global product group and local management.

  • Develop technical competencies at EICP and work on attracting, developing, and retaining skilled staff.

  • Motivate and empower the team.

Project & Delivery Management

  • Work with Global CPTI engineering leaders to understand product roadmaps and program management.

  • Ensure projects are defined, prioritized, and communicated effectively.

  • Lead the Engineering and Development team to deliver projects on time and within budget.

  • Evaluate and improve tools, technologies, and processes. Collaborate with the Emerson CPT&I team to identify synergies and share best practices for optimal benefits.

Process & Quality Improvement

  • Engage in annual budgeting, resource planning, and vendor management as needed.

  • Take on tasks and responsibilities that suit your skills and support business requirements, with flexibility for reasonable adjustments.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering

  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining high-performance new product development teams

  • Multi-disciplinary project management experience including gated and agile processes

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment within a complex global organization

  • Experience of leading bigger engineering teams ( 20)
  • Ability to flex working hours to accommodate global time differences

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience leading and executing engineering project teams that develop new products
  • Experience with product security certification
  • Experience with Agile Product Development, e.g., SCRUM, TDD
  • Experience working with international teams
