Job Description: Program Manager (Retainer & Client Strategy)
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-impact Program Manager to lead and grow our Flex Client accounts. Unlike a traditional project-based role, this position is centered on a retainer model where you are the architect of the workstream. You will be responsible for navigating the client's organization to identify opportunities, define the roadmap, and ensure our team's output creates measurable strategic value.
Your success is measured not just by on-time delivery, but by client alignment, retainer utilization, and the quality of the work-pipeline you build.
Key Responsibilities
- Demand Generation & Pipeline Management: Proactively engage with client stakeholders to identify business pain points and translate them into actionable workstreams for our team.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure that all deliverables align with the client's long-term business goals and that the client understands the value being delivered.
- Expectation Engineering: Set realistic delivery benchmarks. You must balance the client's wish list against the team's actual capacity, managing trade-offs and priorities.
- Client-Side Team Integration: Act as a fractional leader within the client's organization, managing their internal stakeholders and teams to ensure they provide the inputs necessary for our success.
- Governance & Reporting: Move beyond task updates to provide high-level programme health reports, focusing on ROI and strategic impact.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years in Program Management, Account Management, or Management Consulting.
- Stakeholder Mastery: Proven ability to influence C-suite or Director-level stakeholders without direct authority.
- Business Acumen: Ability to understand a client's business model quickly and suggest projects that provide the highest leverage.
- Conflict Resolution: Highly skilled in the art of the No—negotiating scope and timelines while maintaining a positive relationship.
