The Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead our product initiatives at the intersection of data infrastructure and Finance Operations and build Vapusfin.
As our platform scales, we are handling increasingly complex financial data workflows, actions and operations, monetization engines, and FinOps pipelines. You will own the roadmap for products that help our customers manage AP & AR automation, ledger reconciliation, financial data compliance, and cost-optimization analytics.
If you understand the intricacies of enterprise finance, love solving complex data problems, and know how to work deeply with engineering teams to ship high-impact B2B features, this role is for you.
What You Will Do
- Own the Product Lifecycle: Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Vapusdata's Finance Operations and monetization features from ideation to launch.
- Bridge Finance and Engineering: Translate complex financial workflows (reconciliation, invoicing, usage-based billing, auditing) into clear, technical product requirements for our engineering teams.
- Data-Driven Execution: Build products that handle high-volume financial data pipelines. Ensure our systems are accurate, auditable, and compliant.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner seamlessly with Engineering, Go-to-Market (Sales & Marketing), and internal Finance teams to ensure successful product rollouts and adoption.
- Customer Obsession: Speak directly with enterprise customers to understand their FinOps pain points. Identify opportunities to build AI-driven insights or automated workflows that save them time and money.
- Market Strategy: Keep a pulse on the FinTech, FinOps, and Data Infrastructure landscapes to ensure Vapusdata remains highly competitive.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- Experience: 5+ years of B2B Product Management experience, with at least 2+ years specifically building products in Finance Operations, FinTech, FinOps, or ERP/Billing systems (e.g., Stripe billing, usage-based metering, financial data reconciliation).
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of financial workflows (Quote-to-Cash, ledger management, cost allocation, taxation, and compliance standards).
- Technical Aptitude: You don't need to write code, but you must be comfortable discussing APIs, databases (Postgres), cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS), and data architectures with senior engineers. (Ability to write SQL is a huge plus).
- Builder's Mindset: Experience operating in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment. You are comfortable with ambiguity and have a bias for action.
- Stellar Communication: Ability to take a highly complex financial logic problem and explain it simply to both a developer and a customer.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience with usage-based billing models for cloud or AI/SaaS products.
- Familiarity with data governance, RBAC, and financial data compliance (SOC2, PCI-DSS, SOX).
- Prior experience in finance back-office operations.
Why Join Vapusdata
- Impact: You will be joining at a critical growth stage where your product decisions will directly impact the company's revenue and core architecture.
- Innovation: Work at the cutting edge of AI, data engineering, and enterprise SaaS.
- Culture: A high-autonomy, high-ownership environment where the best ideas win.
- Benefits: Greatest team culture, competitive salary, equity/ESOPs, health insurance, flexible PTO, etc.
