Title And Summary

Senior Product Manager - Technical

Role Summary

As a Senior Product Manager – Technical (PM‑T), you will own the Why and the What of highly complex payment products and platforms. You are responsible for maximizing the value delivered by development teams by ensuring the backlog is continuously aligned with customer needs, business priorities, regulatory requirements, and platform strategy.

This role demands strong payments domain expertise combined with high learning agility—the ability to rapidly understand evolving standards, wallet behaviors, partner requirements, and compliance mandates, and translate them into scalable, secure, and high‑performing technology solutions.

You will work closely with engineering, architecture, business, platform, and operations teams to drive clarity, execution excellence, and predictable delivery across MDES and the broader payment ecosystem.

Roles & Responsibilities

Define and articulate business context and product & technical strategy.

Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with customer and stakeholder needs.

Lead end-to-end transaction flows and integration strategies.

Translate business, regulatory, and partner requirements into engineering‑ready user stories, epics, and technical specifications.

Define clear acceptance criteria, non‑functional requirements, and data contracts to minimize ambiguity for development teams.

Collaborate with development squads to refine and elaborate technical requirements.

Monitor product performance through metrics, logging, and observability, driving continuous improvement.

Coordinate release strategies and ensure accuracy in customer-facing documentation.

Build strong relationships across internal and external teams to influence and drive outcomes.

Continuously evolve product quality, delivery practices, and documentation based on data, feedback, and retrospectives.

Drive intake discussions, manage impacts on the roadmap, and lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance product value.

Oversee customer-facing content creation, updates, and timely delivery.

Own complex, multi‑system payment capabilities, not just individual features.

Drive clarity across ambiguous, cross‑team problem spaces with minimal guidance.
