Position Overview And Objective
This role serves as a strategic bridge between Product Management and Engineering, responsible for translating vision into actionable plans across multiple teams. It involves deep collaboration with stakeholders to prioritize projects, analyze trade-offs, and maintain a clear, prioritized backlog. The individual is expected to have deep expertise in at least one service area and a broad understanding of others, including tools, outcomes, and metrics. They facilitate project kick-offs, ensure engineering documentation aligns with requirements, and monitor telemetry to inform recommendations. With strong organizational awareness, they track progress, identify blockers, and escalate issues as needed, while helping shape product strategy and maintaining trusted relationships across engineering leadership.
Responsibilities
- Works with higher level PMs and Eng Managers to understand the vision and the breakdown of projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the relationship between projects and to inform prioritization / trade-off analysis within and across the backlogs of multiple teams.
- Has deep level of knowledge about at least one service function and a high-level understanding of the others inclusive of the tools used, outcomes being driven, and metrics that drive the business.
- Partners with Engineering to present and evangelize new components to audiences across all levels of organization
- Maps requirements to engineering artifacts and documents; validates, where possible, that HLDs cover all validated use cases and functionality workflows.
Experience & Requirements
- 9+ years of product management experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or service-based businesses.
- Proven success in leading product transformations or channel enablement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of service delivery models, partner ecosystems, and customer success frameworks.
- Technical aptitude to understand infrastructure, APIs, and service orchestration.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence across all levels.
- Collaborates with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and PJMs to run project kick-offs and facilitate project breakdowns, epic creation, and story sizing. Gathers detailed requirements for each project.
- Keeps a prioritized list of projects across involved teams, for the areas of responsibilities. Can answer the questions of cost of moving projects or inserting new ones. Participates in GL activities. Ensures that all Jira artifacts are up to date for in-flight projects and the proposed projects list is prioritized.
- Watches telemetry - usage and stats (including cost) - across projects. Interprets the so-what and reports with recommendations at staff meetings.
