Senior Product Manager

JoVE is the world-leading producer and provider of video solutions with a mission to accelerate scientific research and education. As we scale, our platform needs to be faster, smarter, and more extensible. We are looking for a Product Manager: Platform who can help build the foundational systems that power growth, personalization, experimentation, and analytics at scale.

The role:

You will work at the intersection of engineering, data, and growth to build micro-services, experimentation frameworks, internal tools, APIs, and instrumentation that enable JoVE to innovate rapidly and scale reliably.

Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the roadmap for core platform services and micro-service architecture
• Partner closely with the engineering team to design scalable, modular systems
• Establish product instrumentation standards to capture meaningful metrics across the platform
• Design and launch APIs, internal tools, and reusable services that enable faster product experimentation
• Build systems that support personalization, content discovery and delivery, accessibility, and analytics
• Own platform KPIs including reliability, latency, adoption, and experimentation velocity
• Work with data teams to define event tracking frameworks and analytics infrastructure
• Reduce technical and vendor dependencies by identifying build vs. buy opportunities
• Ensure platform decisions improve product velocity across growth, content, and enterprise use cases
• Drive innovation at scale by enabling rapid feature iteration across global markets

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree
• 2-5 years of Product Management experience
• Experience building products in EdTech, SaaS, marketplaces, healthtech, or consumer tech
• Exposure to backend systems, APIs, or micro-services driven architectures
• Familiarity with SQL, event tracking, data pipelines, or experimentation frameworks
• Experience defining and tracking product metrics beyond surface-level dashboards to measure and improve business performance
• Results-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment
