Job Description

About The Company

Founders today are building global companies from day one but the systems that manage their money were built for a different era. Aspire exists to change that!

We're building the financial operating system for global founders, bringing banking, software, and automation into a single platform so businesses can move faster across borders and stay focused on building.

Aspire is built by people who think from first principles, care deeply about solving hard problems, and take real ownership of their work. Our team brings global experience from leading fintech and technology companies, and many of us are former founders and operators who understand what it takes to build thoughtfully, make trade-offs, and deliver at scale in a global environment.

Backed by leading global investors including Y Combinator, Peak XV, and Lightspeed, Aspire has been trusted by more than 50,000 startups and growing businesses worldwide to manage their finances since 2018. Together with partners like J.P. Morgan, Visa, and Wise, we're building for the next generation of global companies.

Senior Product Manager - FinCrime

About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead FinCrime product strategy and execution across our compliance, fraud prevention, and security domains. You'll be responsible for building and scaling the systems that protect Aspire and its customers from financial crime, while enabling the company's international growth.

You'll work closely with Engineering, Data, Operations, Compliance, Security, and external vendors to deliver an end-to-end FinCrime risk platform. This is a strategic role with significant impact and visibility.

What You'll Do

  • Co-own the FinCrime product roadmap: Define and drive the vision across AML monitoring, fraud prevention, and security touchpoints together with the FinCrime product team.
  • Build scalable detection and prevention systems: Replace legacy 3rd-party tools with best-fit in-house or hybrid solutions that meet the evolving needs of our risk teams.
  • Partner cross-functionally: Work with Compliance, Ops, and Engineering to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and regulatory expectations across markets.
  • Ensure international readiness: Adapt products and controls to suit emerging markets (e.g. CA, EU, UK), factoring in local regulations and threat models.
  • Define key success metrics: Establish FinCrime KPIs aligned with risk reduction, cost-efficiency, false positive rates, detection speed, and automation coverage.
  • Champion the customer while protecting the business: Balance risk controls with frictionless CX for our clients, especially digital-first SMBs and startups.
  • Lead vendor evaluations: Make strategic build vs. buy decisions, driving cost-benefit analysis and integration assessments for fraud tools, AML engines, case management, etc.
  • Originate creative, product-driven ideas: Proactively identify and test new product features or approaches to enhance financial crime prevention and customer trust.

What We're Looking For

  • 58 years of product management experience, with at least 3-5 in fintech, risk, fraud, or compliance tooling
  • Proven success shipping complex products in regulated environments
  • Familiarity with AML and fraud detection systems (e.g. transaction monitoring, behavioral analytics, screening, KYC)
  • Strong data orientation and experience working with risk/ML models or decision engines
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and build structure in fast-moving environments
  • Great communication and stakeholder management skills across tech and non-tech teams
  • Bias for action and a healthy skepticism toward vendors who overpromise
  • Experience working across multiple markets (especially SEA, US, or EU) is a plus
