Job Description
Brief Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
Own the product vision for a unified internal data and reporting experience. You'll partner with servicing departments, business stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists to consolidate fragmented dashboards, reports, and tools into a streamlined, intuitive interface. Your focus: understanding what teams need, defining the right KPIs, gathering requirements, and driving the delivery of a single source of truth that makes decision-making faster and easier across the organization.
Essential Functions
Partner with servicing departments (loss mitigation, default, investor reporting, customer service) to understand their current workflows, pain points, and reporting needs
Design skills to build intuitive UI for business stakeholders to view workflows, reports etc.
Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, process mapping, and workflow analysis
Define and own the product vision for a consolidated internal reporting and analytics experience that reduces the number of systems employees interact with daily
Design and maintain organizational KPIs and metrics frameworks that drive data-informed decision-making across business units
Build and maintain dashboards and reports that surface the right data to the right teams at the right time
Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specs (Azure DevOps / Jira)
Work closely with data engineers and data scientists to communicate requirements, validate outputs, and ensure analytical products are accurate and accessible
Present roadmaps, progress updates, and data strategy recommendations to leadership
Champion a heavily data-driven mindset across the organization; advocate for evidence-based decisions over intuition
Conduct business analysis to identify redundant data sources, overlapping reports, and consolidation opportunities
Break down ambiguous, cross-functional problems into structured, prioritized, and shippable solutions
Manage dependencies and communication across data engineering, analytics, and business teams
Run sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT cycles for data and reporting products
Drive adoption of the consolidated platform across servicing teams through training, feedback loops, and iterative improvements
Education and Experience
Must Have
5+ years in Product Management with a focus on data, analytics, reporting, or internal tooling
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
Experience designing and tracking KPIs at an organizational or business-unit level
Hands-on experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports (Power BI, Sigma, Tableau, or equivalent)
Strong business analysis skills—ability to gather requirements, map processes, and translate business needs into product specs
Proven experience working with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholder teams
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Excellent written and spoken English; comfortable presenting to executives
Learn-it-all mentality—fast learner who can pick up new tools, domains, and data models quickly
Acts with a sense of urgency; bias toward action and shipping
Experience consolidating or migrating legacy reporting systems into modern platforms
Preferred
Hands-on SQL query experience (writing, debugging, optimizing)
Prior experience working with data products, data platforms, or analytics tooling
Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline concepts
Familiarity with Databricks, Glean, or similar data platform tools
Experience in mortgage servicing, financial services, lending operations
Experience using data for decision-making workflows (operational dashboards, exception management, risk reporting)
Work Environment
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers etc. Ability to sit for long periods of time is essential.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of Gurugram or Bengaluru. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST, to ensure overlap with US Central Time operations. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
