Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Product Manager position located in Pune. The Senior Product Manager (AI/Fintech) will lead the development and execution of innovative AI-driven financial technology products. Responsibilities include defining the product vision, conducting market research, gathering customer insights, and translating them into actionable product strategies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, managing product roadmaps, and launching high-impact solutions will also be key aspects of this role. The Senior Product Manager will work closely with stakeholders to ensure products meet user needs and deliver on business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- AI/ML Strategy & Product Roadmap:Define the vision for AI-driven financial products, identifying high-impact use cases such as fraud detection, risk scoring, conversational AI (chatbots), and automated underwriting.
- Product-Led Growth:Drive the development of invisible finance features, utilizing agent-aware checkout and payment flows.
- Data-Driven Decisioning:Partner with Data Science and Engineering teams to develop and deploy ML models, ensuring high-accuracy, low-latency performance in high-volume, real-time transaction environments.
- Product Lifecycle Management:Manage the AI lifecycle, from data annotation and model training to deployment, monitoring for model drift, and iterative improvement.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management:Bridge the gap between engineering, data, risk/compliance, and business units, translating complex AI concepts into actionable product requirements (PRDs).
- Compliance & Responsible AI:Ensure all AI models adhere to financial regulations (e.g., RBI, GDPR), data privacy, and ethical standards, incorporating human-in-the-loop reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience:58+ years of product management experience, with at least 24 years focused on AI/ML products or in the fintech sector.
- AI/ML Knowledge:Solid understanding of supervised/unsupervised learning, natural language processing (NLP), LLM applications, and model evaluation metrics (precision/recall, ROC-AUC).
- Fintech Domain Knowledge:Expertise in payment systems, fraud detection, risk management, or B2B SaaS for financial operations.
- Technical Literacy:Hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis; familiarity with Python, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) is often required.
- Analytical Skills:Strong ability to make data-driven decisions and set KPIs for AI performance.
- Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent experience; an MBA is a plus.
