The Right Profile
We're seeking a Senior Product Designer to own end-to-end design for key product areas that help our customers build wealth and take control of their finances. You'll lead design initiatives, influence product strategy, and mentor junior designers while shipping high-quality work that reaches millions of users. This role requires someone who can balance business goals, user needs, and technical constraints to deliver elegant solutions to complex problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Own design for a product area or multiple features, driving work from early exploration through launch and iteration.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Data, and Content to define problems, shape roadmaps, and deliver solutions.
- Lead design explorations that inform product strategy, using research insights, competitive analysis, and design intuition.
- Establish and advocate for high design quality standards, raising the bar for craft across interaction, visual, and motion design.
- Mentor Associate and junior designers through feedback, pairing sessions, and coaching on process and craft.
- Contribute to and evolve our design system, identifying opportunities for new patterns and components.
- Present work to leadership, articulating design rationale and trade-offs with clarity and confidence.
- Champion accessibility and inclusive design throughout the product development process.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of product design experience with a track record of shipping impactful consumer products.
- A portfolio showcasing end-to-end ownership of complex design challenges, with clear articulation of process, decisions, and outcomes.
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma; comfort with prototyping at varying fidelities.
- Deep understanding of mobile-first design, responsive patterns, and platform conventions.
- Strong systems thinking - ability to design cohesive experiences that scale.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills; able to influence without authority.
- Experience with or strong interest in fintech, investing, crypto, or financial wellness.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple workstreams.
- Experience mentoring other designers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing for regulated financial products (brokerage, banking, payments).
- Background in data visualization or information-dense interfaces.
- Familiarity with quantitative analysis and experimentation frameworks.
- Experience working directly with compliance and legal teams.
