The Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer who can independently own and drive key product areas. In this role, you will go beyond execution—defining problems, shaping solutions, and ensuring your work drives meaningful user and business outcomes.You will work on high-impact problem areas such as student engagement, learning outcomes, and growth across JEE/NEET and Class 6–10 segments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Problem Definition and Ownership: You will be responsible for identifying and framing user problems by leveraging user insights, product data, and business context. You will own your product area end-to-end.
- Design Excellence and Execution: You will translate complex user flows into intuitive, high-quality designs and prototypes, balancing speed and craft. You will maintain a high standard of visual and interaction quality while ensuring solutions are scalable.
- Designing AI-Powered Experiences: You will design experiences that leverage AI capabilities. You are expected to think through challenges like ambiguity in outputs, user trust, and feedback loops.
- System and Visual Consistency: You will rigorously apply and contribute to the ALLEN Design System, ensuring consistency across products while evolving patterns for new interaction models, including AI-driven experiences.
- Outcome-Driven Design: Define success metrics for your solutions and track their impact post-launch. You are expected to drive usability testing/interviews and iterate on your product accordingly
- Collaboration and Influence: You will effectively articulate your design solutions to stakeholders across product, engineering, and business teams. You will drive alignment by connecting design decisions to user needs and business goals.
- Mentorship and Design Quality: You will provide constructive feedback to peers and mentor junior designers, helping elevate the overall quality of design and problem-solving within the team.
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in product design
- Strong ability to solve user problems and own product areas end-to-end
- Solid foundation in UX, interaction design, and visual design
- Experience or strong interest in designing AI-powered or data-driven experiences
- Ability to think through uncertain or evolving systems
- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) and comfort using them in workflows is a plus
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
