  • Will manage execution of approximately 35–40% of company's total expenditure
  • Focus on day-to-day purchase operations and vendor relationship management
  • Implement and operate SCM procurement systems

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Specialist to manage the

procurement of high-value construction materials, including steel, aluminium, and processed

materials. The role requires deep expertise in procurement, commodities hedging, credit

financing, and financial management, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals

and risk management objectives.

In this role, you will also be responsible for building and improving ERP systems to streamline

our operations and enhance data management across procurement, finance, and project

management teams. Your leadership will be key to optimising vendor relations and ensuring

the seamless supply of materials for large-scale modular construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Execution:

● Develop and execute procurement plans for high-value commodities like steel and

aluminium, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

● Lead supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms in pricing, quality, delivery, and

credit financing.

● Oversee procurement for large-scale projects, ensuring cost-efficiency and

compliance.

Commodities Hedging & Financial Management:

● Implement hedging strategies to manage price volatility, ensuring cost stability.

● Manage procurement budgets, cost analysis, and credit risk with close coordination

with finance for alignment with company goals.

Credit Financing & Vendor Management:

● Manage supplier relationships, securing favourable credit terms and optimising cash

flow.

● Build and maintain a robust vendor database, ensuring quality, reliability, and

scalability.

● Onboard vendors and manage credit portfolios to align with project cash flows.

ERP Systems Development & Adoption:

● Lead the development and integration of an ERP system for procurement, finance, and

project management.

● Ensure accurate tracking of materials, costs, and supplier performance, and drive ERP

adoption within the procurement team.

Supply Chain Optimization:

● Continuously improve supply chain efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and risk mitigation.

● Coordinate closely with operations to align procurement with project execution and

apply best practices.

Leadership & Team Development:

● Lead and mentor a high-performing procurement team, fostering continuous

improvement.

● Provide training to enhance skills in procurement, finance, ERP usage, and supply

chain management.

● Drive procurement initiatives that support broader company objectives.

Qualification & Experience

● Experience: 10+ years in procurement, with a focus on construction materials such as

steel,aluminium, experience in PEB & Prefabrication are preferred.

● Industry Background: Preference for candidates with experience in B2B procurement

marketplaces that offer credit financing and manage large-scale procurement

operations.

● Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of credit financing, financial management,

and commodities hedging to ensure cost predictability and budget alignment.

● ERP & Technology: Proven experience in building and implementing ERP systems from

scratch, driving adoption within teams, and ensuring data accuracy for strategic

decision-making.

● Vendor Management: Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships, negotiate

favourable terms, and optimise supply chain systems.

● Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute procurement strategies that align

with financial goals and support project execution.

● Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and

developing high-performing procurement teams.

● Communication: Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to

influence stakeholders at all levels.
