Position OverviewWe are looking for a results-driven Senior Procurement Engineer with 48 years of experience in the manufacturing sector. The role involves managing procurement activities, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, and optimizing supplier relationships to support production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with manufacturing operations.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure high-quality materials at competitive costs.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure technical specifications are met.
- Manage supplier contracts, performance reviews, and long-term partnerships.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and supply chain efficiency.
- Prepare procurement reports and present insights to management.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 48 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, and contract management.
- Proficiency in SAP systems and procurement software.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills- Experience in automotive, heavy engineering, or industrial manufacturing.
- Knowledge of international sourcing and global supply chain practices.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are an advantage.
