Key Responsibilities
The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for leading process engineering activities for Oil & Gas refinery, LNG/NGL, AGRU, SRU, and utility systems, ensuring design compliance with project specifications, international codes/standards, and operational safety requirements. The role requires strong technical leadership, coordination with multi-disciplinary teams, and active support during commissioning and start-up phases, including providing technical inputs for Operating Philosophy Manuals (OPMs) and operations documentation.
- Provide technical inputs and review support for Operating Manuals (OPMs), operating narratives, and unit operating philosophies in coordination with Technical Writing and Operations teams.
- Lead process engineering deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, Heat & Material Balance, Process Datasheets, and Line Lists.
- Perform process calculations and simulations related to hydraulics, relief load estimation, equipment sizing, and utility balance.
- Develop and review Process Design Basis, Operating Philosophy, Cause & Effect inputs, and control narratives.
- Review vendor documents for major equipment (compressors, pumps, exchangers, vessels, columns, furnaces, etc.).
- Provide process inputs for HAZOP, LOPA, SIL assessment, QRA, and Risk Assessments, ensuring closure of actions.
- Support preparation and review of relief valve sizing, flare network inputs, blowdown, and depressurization philosophy.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, Safety, and Civil disciplines to ensure design integration.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, ISO standards, API/ASME codes, and industry best practices.

Work Experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BTech.) in Chemical Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in process engineering for Oil & Gas / LNG / refinery projects.
- Strong exposure to gas processing, utilities, and refinery units.
- Proven ability to handle multi-discipline coordination and client/PMC interactions.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Experience in EPC / PMC / Owner engineering environments.
- Experience in commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting support.
- Strong understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) and standards such as API, ASME, NFPA, IEC, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight project schedules.
