Expertise in the Consumer Products industry (FMCG) is preferred.
Lead medium to large size project. Guide and manage team. Coordinate with other disciplines within BMI and with US team.
Conducted or participated in Safety studies like PSSR, PHA, HAZOP.
Prepare and review of discipline deliverables: BFD, PFD, UFD, HMB, PID, DP/DT diagram.
Perform Line Sizing, pump hydraulics for liquid (including non-Newtonian) and Gas systems. Knowledge of AFT fathom, Arrow is preferred
Perform and review calculations and prepare data sheets for Tanks, Vessels / Separators, Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Compressors etc.
Prepare RFQ/RFP for packages, Vendor drawing reviews and Technical Bid evaluation.
Perform review sizing calculations and prepare data sheets for Control valves, Instruments, PSVs, etc.
Prepare and review Line list, Equipment list, Valve lists, Piping special lists, Utility summary, Hazardous Area Classification Schedule, Tie-in List, Effluent and Emission Summary, Relief Summary, etc.
Use Smart PID (Plant-3D) to perform engineering tasks and extract lists.
Review 3D models using various 3D review software platforms to ensure process design aspects and design integrity.
Work within a 2D / 3D model environment and review project specific documents such as Piping plan Section Views, Piping Isometrics, Pipe Support layout.
Understanding Laser scan modeling and Preparation of As Built documents.
Provide and maintain quality output for engineering deliverables. Adhere quality requirements by following checklist and quality processes/workflows.
Provide leadership, guidance, instruction, and mentorship to less experienced staff members.
Support development and improvements of department standard work procedures and workflows to support a successful work share approach amongst the various offices for all projects.
Actively contribute and participate in departmental initiatives like knowledge sharing and innovation.
Interact with all stakeholders, including interdisciplinary teams, clients, and vendors, to facilitate project success.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in chemical engineering from a recognizedinstitution.
Minimum 8 - 10 years of working experience in FMCG industry process design.
Hands-on experience on projects in the North America region and knowledge of plant 3D will be a plus.
Food Beverage industry exposure will be an added advantage.
