Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Process Engineer with 8-10 years of experience to join our team, preferably with a background in the FMCG or Food & Beverage industry. This role is ideal for a professional who can lead medium to large-sized projects, guide a team, and ensure the quality of engineering deliverables. You will be responsible for developing and reviewing key project documents from the initial FEED phase through detailed design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead medium to large-sized projects, providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff. You will coordinate with various disciplines and the US team to ensure project success.
  • Engineering & Design: Develop and review engineering packages and feasibility studies. This includes preparing and reviewing key documents such as PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), and HMBs (Heat and Mass Balances).
  • Calculations & Analysis: Perform line sizing and pump hydraulics for liquid and gas systems. You will also prepare and review calculations for equipment like tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, and pumps. Participation in safety studies like HAZOP is also required.
  • Vendor & Quality Management: Prepare RFQs and RFPs, review vendor drawings, and conduct technical bid evaluations. You will ensure all engineering deliverables meet quality requirements by adhering to standard checklists and workflows.
  • 3D Modeling & Collaboration: You will review 3D models and project-specific documents to ensure design integrity. You will also use tools like Smart P&ID (Plant-3D) to perform engineering tasks and extract key lists.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of working experience in process design within the FMCG industry. Hands-on experience with projects in the North America region is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in developing key process engineering deliverables. Knowledge of hydraulic analysis software like AFT Fathom is preferred. Familiarity with Plant 3D and experience with laser scan modeling are also advantageous.
