Job Summary:
The Funding Review Specialist is responsible for validating and reviewing all required documentation associated with US mortgages. This includes ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant loan processing.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify the Mortgage related documents
- HELOC Agreement (Signed/Unsigned)
- Mortgage/Deed of Trust (Signed and Notarized)
- Legal Description and Riders
- HELOC Line Application Summary Disclosure
- Autopay Agreement
- Fair Lending Notice
- Warranty and Compliance Agreement
- Borrower Insurance Authorization Letter
- Name Affidavit (if applicable)
- Earthquake Insurance Notice (for condominiums)
- Automated Value Model (AVM) Appraisal
- Additional Mortgage Disclosures
- CFPB HELOC Booklet
- Homeownership Counseling Disclosure
- FACTA Credit Disclosure
- Deed and Privacy Disclosure (signed prior to closing)
- Confirm property address matches AVM and validate legal descriptions.
- Ensure generation and inclusion of funding-date-specific documents:
- Review and ensure compliance with state-specific disclosures:
- Maintain accurate records of signed and unsigned versions.
- Escalate discrepancies and missing documents to appropriate teams.
- Collaborate with underwriting, closing, and compliance teams.
Basic Qualifications:
13 years of experience in U.S. mortgage, preferably in redisclosure or loan servicing.
- Familiarity with RESPA regulations and redisclosure requirements.
- Experience with LOS platforms such as Encompass or ICE.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requests and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook.
- Willingness to work U.S. business hours (night shift), including rotational shifts.
