About the Role

We are expanding our worldclass engineering team in the United Arab Emirates and are looking for highly skilled Senior and Principal Firmware Engineers with deep expertise in FPGA, microcontrollerbased firmware development, and defence-grade engineering practices.

These roles involve technical leadership, handson development, design reviews, and working with cuttingedge FPGA SoCs, highspeed interfaces, and missioncritical embedded systems.

Relocation to the UAE is mandatory and fully supported.

Key Responsibilities (Senior & Principal)

Technical Leadership & Design

• Guide design teams on software/firmware architecture, technical specifications, and alignment with international engineering standards & certifications.
• Lead and organise design reviews, FIRMWARE Requirement Specifications (FRS) and Interface Control Specifications (ICS).
• Provide strong technical direction on evaluation, testing methodologies, coding best practices, and design validation.

Technical Expertise

• Apply specialist knowledge in selecting and integrating hardware devices for firmware applications.
• Work extensively on FPGA and Microcontroller-based firmware development for defence and highperformance systems.
• Contribute to the technology roadmap, tools planning, and long-term capability development.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor, train, and guide junior engineers.
• Drive collaboration and motivate cross-functional teams with clear communication and leadership.

• Altera / Intel FPGAs

HighSpeed Interfaces

• 10G / 25G / 100G Ethernet
• SPI, UART, I2C
• PCI Express
• JESD204B
• High-speed ADC/DAC interfaces (SERDES, LVDS, Parallel)
• DDR memory interfaces

Tools

• Xilinx Vivado
• Intel Quartus
• Microchip Libero
• Experience with ZYNQ SoC PL & PS (ARM Cortex A9/A53)

Industry Standards & Hardware

• VPX, VNX+, VME
• High-speed digital hardware design
• DO254 knowledge (preferred, not mandatory)
• Defence industry experience is a strong advantage

Qualification & Experience Requirements

Principal Firmware Engineer

• 15+ years of FPGA / Microcontroller firmware development.
• 3+ years working with certification/classification methodologies.
• Electronic or Software Engineering degree (Master's preferred).

Senior Firmware Engineer

• 10+ years of FPGA / Microcontroller firmware development.
• Experience with DO254 development standards.
• Electronic or Software Engineering degree.
