Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Operate and supervise Hydraulic/Iso-static Press Machine used for forming tableware products such as plates, bowls, and other ceramic items.
Ensure proper setting and calibration of press machines, moulds, and dies to achieve required product specifications.
Monitor production parameters including pressure, cycle time, and forming quality.
Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance of press machines.
Ensure consistent product quality by monitoring defects such as cracks, uneven thickness, or shape distortion.
Optimize machine productivity by improving cycle time and process efficiency.
Maintain proper documentation of production reports, machine logs, and quality records.
Work closely with the quality control team to ensure products meet required standards.
Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company operational guidelines.
Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce wastage.

Qualification And Technical Skills/Competencies

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
4-7 years of experience in ceramic manufacturing, preferably in hydraulic or isostatic press
Hands-on experience with ceramic press machines and mould handling
Strong knowledge of ceramic forming processes and press technology
Machine troubleshooting and technical problem-solving
Understanding of mould design and maintenance
Knowledge of quality control standards in ceramic manufacturing
Production planning and efficiency improvement
Attention to detail and quality orientation
Team coordination and communication skills
Ability to work in shift operations in a manufacturing environment
Strong commitment to workplace safety and production discipline
