Job Description

Job Title: Presales & Bid Management Specialist (Filtration Manufacturing)

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

The Presales & Bid Management Specialist will be the primary technical liaison during the sales cycle, responsible for understanding complex customer filtration requirements, and managing the end-to-end tender/bid process. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise in filtration systems and strong project management skills to ensure high-quality, compelling, and compliant proposals are submitted, leading to successful contract wins.

Key Responsibilities

Tender & Bid Management:

Monitor public procurement portals and various sources to identify suitable tender opportunities (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs).

Manage the entire bid lifecycle, from initial assessment to final submission, ensuring all deadlines are met.

Coordinate with technical, sales, finance, and legal teams to gather all required information and ensure a cohesive and compliant bid response.

Prepare and update administrative and financial documents, including EMD (Earnest Money Deposit) and bank guarantees.

Technical Solution Design & Support:

Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and project objectives.

Work with the design team to propose customized filtration solutions that meet specific technical and business requirements.

Ability to understand design drawings and provide guidance to the estimation team during the quotation process.

Act as the subject matter expert, addressing technical questions and concerns during the pre-sales process.

Proposal Writing & Documentation:

Develop and write persuasive and professional technical and commercial proposals.

Ensure all content is clear, well-structured, and specifically addresses the client's pain points and requirements.

Maintain a repository of standard templates, past RFI/RFP responses, and case studies to improve efficiency.

Market Intelligence & Strategy:

Conduct competitive analysis to understand market dynamics and differentiate the company's offerings.

Provide feedback to the product development/engineering teams on customer requirements and industry trends.

Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and internal stakeholders.

Ensure a smooth handover to the post-sales/implementation team after a contract is secured.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related technical field).

Experience: Proven experience in a presales, technical sales, or bid management role, preferably within the filtration, HVAC, or industrial manufacturing sectors.

Technical Skills: Deep understanding of filtration technologies, products, and industry applications. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, value-driven proposals.

Tender Knowledge: In-depth knowledge and experience with the public tendering process and e-procurement portals (e.g., GeM portal in India).

Soft Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.

Exceptional organizational and project management skills to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
