Job Summary
Flair Network Systems Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a
Senior Pre-Sales Engineer with strong expertise in
structured cabling and passive networking solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing technical solutions, preparing BOQ/BOM documentation, coordinating with procurement for pricing and availability, and working closely with clients to ensure solutions meet both technical and business requirements.
This role requires a combination of
technical knowledge, analytical skills, and strong communication abilities to support the sales and project teams during the proposal and implementation stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand client requirements and design technically sound solutions for structured cabling systems, racks, patch panels, fiber/copper installations, and passive networking infrastructure.
- Prepare detailed BOQ/BOM in Excel based on site surveys, RFPs, and design drawings.
- Develop and review Scope of Work (SOW), technical specifications, and design layouts.
- Collaborate with the sales team during the bidding and proposal process to ensure competitive and compliant solutions.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to obtain updated pricing, product availability, and delivery timelines.
- Participate in client meetings to present proposed solutions and address technical queries.
- Prepare and support techno-commercial proposals and tender submissions.
- Conduct site visits for requirement gathering, solution validation, and feasibility checks.
- Maintain updated knowledge of passive networking products, OEM offerings, and industry standards (EIA/TIA, ISO/IEC).
- Ensure a smooth handover to the project implementation team with complete technical documentation.
- Review RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs and deliver accurate solutions within deadlines.
- Translate customer specifications into technical documentation for engineering teams.
- Collaborate with procurement, implementation, and finance teams for project planning and material requirements.
- Track project progress, manage risks, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prepare reports and final handover documentation.
- Experience with the GEM portal will be an added advantage.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunication, IT, or a related field.
- 45 years of experience in Pre-Sales or Solution Design for Structured Cabling and Passive Networking.
- In-depth knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, and networking standards.
- Strong Excel skills for BOQ/BOM preparation and documentation.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or Visio for network layout drawings is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, SLDs, and RFPs.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with internal teams and clients.
- Experience working with OEMs such as Molex, CommScope, Legrand, D-Link, etc. preferred.
Education Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Diploma holders with strong hands-on experience in structured cabling may also be considered.
