Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled
Power BI Developer with hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate should have strong SQL skills, expertise in data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and experience working with various data sources to deliver meaningful business insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
- Create efficient data models using Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
- Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using Power Query (M Language).
- Optimize report performance and ensure scalability.
- Connect Power BI with multiple data sources such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle, Excel, SharePoint, and REST APIs.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace security.
- Publish and manage reports in Power BI Service.
- Schedule dataset refreshes and monitor report performance.
- Collaborate with business users, analysts, and data engineers to deliver reporting solutions.
- Troubleshoot report issues and provide production support.
- Maintain documentation for dashboards, data models, and report development.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Power BI development.
- Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Hands-on experience with DAX and Power Query (M).
- Strong SQL skills (Joins, CTEs, Stored Procedures, Window Functions).
- Experience in data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
- Knowledge of Power BI Gateway, Dataflows, and Workspace management.
- Experience with Row-Level Security (RLS).
- Good understanding of ETL concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
