Position Overview
The Senior Power BI Developer with 8+ years of experience is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This role requires collaboration with business stakeholders to transform data into insightful and actionable visualizations, ensuring accuracy and clarity in reporting. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills, a strong analytical mindset, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality BI solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security.
- Optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability, including DAX query optimization and data model refinement.
- Maintain and update existing BI solutions as business needs evolve.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
- Document BI processes, data flows, and technical specifications.
- Stay current with Power BI updates, features, and best practices to recommend improvements.
Must-Have Skills
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service.
- Strong proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL).
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Azure Data Platform services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics).
