Role: Senior PostgreSQL DBA
Location: Hyderabad, India
Experience & Qualifications:
- 812 years of hands-on PostgreSQL experience as primary DBA
- Experience with MySQL and/or Oracle as secondary databases
- Strong experience working closely with application development teams
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Key Responsibilitie
- sInstall, configure, upgrade, and maintain PostgreSQL database servers across development, QA, UAT, and production environments
- .Own end-to-end database operations, including availability, performance, reliability, and scalability
- .Design, implement, and manage backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions
- .Architect and maintain high-availability solutions using tools such as: Streaming Replication, Logical Replication, Patroni / Repmgr / Pgpool / Keepalived (as applicable
- )Manage database security including: Role-based access contro
- lAutomate routine DBA and operational tasks using Shell, Python, Ansible, or similar tools
- .Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issue
- sPlan and execute database migrations, patching, and major/minor version upgrades with minimal or zero downtime
- .Implement and manage connection pooling solutions (PgBouncer / Pgpool)
