Database Administrator (DBA)to manage and optimize our database systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in PostgreSQL, SQL, and MongoDB, with a solid understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS), database security, optimization, and disaster recovery strategies. This role will play a key part in ensuring database integrity, performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage PostgreSQL, SQL, and MongoDB databases.

Configure and maintain RDS (Relational Database Service) instances and related cloud-based database solutions.

Performance Optimization & Monitoring:

Monitor database health, performance, and capacity planning.

Optimize queries, indexing, and database structures to improve efficiency.

Implement database monitoring tools for proactive issue detection and resolution.

Security & Compliance:

Ensure PostgreSQL/RDBMS security best practices are followed.

Manage user roles, permissions, encryption, and access controls.

Conduct regular security audits to safeguard sensitive data.

Disaster Recovery & Backup:

Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability.

Plan and test disaster recovery procedures for business continuity.

Database Development & Support:

Assist in schema design, indexing, and data migrations.

Support development teams in query optimization and database-related troubleshooting.

Ensure database upgrades, patches, and maintenance are executed efficiently.

Requirements:

Proficiency in PostgreSQL and SQL (strong query writing, performance tuning).

Proficiency in MongoDB, including experience in NoSQL data structures.

Good understanding of RDS (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, etc.).

Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL/RDBMS security mechanisms (roles, privileges, encryption).

Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, and monitoring tools.

Expertise in backup and disaster recovery planning.

Ability to work with large-scale database architectures and troubleshoot performance issues.

Experience with cloud-based database solutions (AWS, Azure) is a plus.

Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation is a plus.
