We are seeking an experienced
POS Payment Automation Engineer to lead end-to-end automation testing of payment application flows across multiple schemes and POS terminals. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in payment certification workflows (L1, L2, L3), automation framework development, and hands-on scripting expertise.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation frameworks for end-to-end payment transaction testing.
- Automate payment flows without human interaction for card presentment.
- Cover transaction types including:
- Contactless Sale
- Contact Sale
- Sale with DCC
- Sale with Tip
- MOTO Sale
- Cash Back
- Void/Cancel (Last / From List / With Card)
- Linked & Unlinked Refunds
- Partial Refund
- Pre-Authorisation / Update / Completion
- Perform scheme-level testing and certification for:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Girocard
- American Express
- Diners Club International
- Automate certification workflows:
- L1 (Physical & Electrical compliance)
- L2 (Protocol compliance)
- L3 (End-to-end transaction certification)
- Work with POS terminals including:
- PAX IM30
- PAX A920Pro
- PAX A80
- PAX A50
- Debug automation scripts and analyze transaction logs.
- Collaborate with certification teams, developers, and product stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with payment industry standards and scheme requirements
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in building and implementing automation frameworks.
- Programming expertise in:
- Experience with Playwright for automation.
- Strong debugging skills (scripts, logs, transaction traces).
- Proven experience in payment certification processes (L1, L2, L3).
- Deep understanding of POS transaction flows and EMV standards.
- Experience working with multiple card schemes and payment terminals.
