We are seeking an experienced
Senior POS Certification & Payments Testing Engineer with strong expertise in POS transaction testing, L3 certification, and Girocard certification. The ideal candidate will have deep domain knowledge in Cards & Payments, hands-on POS terminal testing experience, and proven experience in full certification workflows across multiple schemes.
Responsibilities
POS Transaction Testing
- Perform end-to-end testing of POS payment application flows including:
- Contactless Sale
- Contact Sale
- Sale with DCC
- Sale with Tip
- MOTO Sale
- Cash Back
- Void/Cancel (Last / From Transaction List / With Card)
- Linked & Unlinked (Naked) Refunds
- Partial Refund
- Pre-Authorization / Update / Completion
- Validate chip, magnetic stripe, contactless (NFC), and fallback transaction flows.
- Verify EMV processing, PIN entry, CVV validation, timeout scenarios, and reversal handling.
- Conduct ISO 8583 message validation for authorization, reversal, refund, and settlement via acquirer switch.
- Perform routing logic validation, BIN configuration testing, and alternate host fallback testing.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in building and implementing automation frameworks.
- Programming expertise in:
- Experience with Playwright for automation.
- Strong debugging skills (scripts, logs, transaction traces).
- Proven experience in payment certification processes (L1, L2, L3).
- Deep understanding of POS transaction flows and EMV standards.
- Experience working with multiple card schemes and payment terminals.

- Extensive experience in ISO 8583 message validation.
- Proven experience in full certification workflows (L1 / L2 / L3).
- Strong knowledge of EMV, NFC, fallback, and PIN-based transactions.
- Experience in acquiring host and scheme certifications.
- Strong debugging and log analysis skills.
- Hands-on experience with POS boarding and configuration processes.
- Experience coordinating with schemes and acquirer host teams.
