The role involves designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise reporting and analytics solutions, collaborating with business stakeholders, and leveraging modern development practices including cloud technologies, automation, and AI-assisted development tools
Required Technical Skills
- The ideal candidate should have 5–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP BusinessObjects (BI 4.x), including Web Intelligence (WebI), Crystal Reports, Universe Design (UDT/IDT), semantic layer modeling, and enterprise report/dashboard development.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL with experience in query optimization, performance tuning, stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and impact analysis is essential.
- Exposure to Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) and/or Tableau is preferred.
- Candidates should possess working knowledge of Python or Java, REST APIs, scripting/automation, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Git, and Agile development practices.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex, or ChatGPT for coding, debugging, documentation, and productivity enhancement will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting and dashboard solutions using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), SAP BusinessObjects, and Tableau.
- Develop interactive dashboards, pixel-perfect reports, scorecards, and analytical visualizations for business users.
- Design and maintain semantic models, including Physical, Business/Logical, and Presentation layers.
- Build reusable enterprise data models and subject areas to support self-service analytics.
- Develop and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Perform SQL query tuning and database performance optimization for large datasets.
- Analyze execution plans and improve report performance through indexing, partitioning, and efficient SQL design.
- Perform impact analysis for database, reporting, metadata, and configuration changes.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Create technical documentation, knowledge articles, solution designs, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, DBAs, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Follow secure coding standards, coding best practices, and enterprise governance processes.
- Support release management, deployment activities, and production support.
